Govt launches Swachh Bharat Summer Internship for College Students in Association with Ministry of Human Resource Development

Aimed at engaging college students in the government’s cleanliness drive, the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation has presented a Swachh Bharat Summer Internship (SBSI), for them to lead sanitation drives in towns amid summer excursion, as indicated by an official proclamation today.



The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation is the planning service for the Center’s aggressive Swachh Bharat Mission.

“In accordance with the Prime Minister’s clarion approach second October 2014 for every person to give 100 hours to Swachhata through the year,the SBSI plans to draw in lakhs of taught adolescents the nation over, build up their aptitudes and introduction for the sanitation segment, open up mass mindfulness and concrete the general population’s development (Jan andolan) part of Swachh Bharat Mission,” the announcement said.

Under the terms of the entry level position, applicants would be required to embrace 100 hours of exercises including production of sanitation framework, framework building and behaviour change campaigns in and around nearby villages.

“Each intern students who finishes the SBSI will likewise be given a Certificate of Internship by the Swachh Bharat Mission,” the service said.



The service said the University Grants Commission had consented to give 2 acknowledge focuses as an elective’ under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) to understudies in higher instructive foundations who might embrace and finishing the SBSI.

The internship for students will be actualized in association with the Ministry of Human Resource Development(MHRD).
